We tried making our own Ubtan soap, that offers a plethora of luxury Ayurvedic ingredients to keep your skin well-nourished. But before we go ahead, here’s few good things you need to know about Ubtan.

What is an Ubtan?

An ubtan is a powdered mix of Ayurvedic herbs and natural ingredients basically, a homemade paste that has a variety of beneficial properties for your skin. This multi-purpose Ayurvedic remedy can be used as a soap, scrub, or even a face mask for clear and glowing skin. An ubtan is made from sundried herbs, flowers & roots that are hand-pounded to mix into a paste with milk, yogurt, or rosewater to deep cleanse and nourish your skin.

How do you derive your own Ubtan?

We would then go on to create our own effective Ubtan. The dosha determination test was an all-around one that constituted elements such as body composition hair type, skin type temperament & preferred fragrances. The test determined the dosha that our body was categorized into - from Vata (wind), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (water). A perfect handmade soap for every skin type.

You can combine ingredients like sundried whole green moong lentils powder, chirongi powder, saffron powder, chana dal powder, etc. depending on your skin and concern for a natural cleanser. Additionally, for every specific skin type, they have very special ingredients you can apply such as sandalwood powder for dry skin, ashwagandha leaves or sundried narangi (mandarin) peel for combination skin & neem leaves or sundried methi for oily skin.

110 grams approximately when packed.

**These are handmade soaps. There is a possibility that the weight could sometimes exceed 110 grams or could be some grams less than 110 grams. The customer should place the order for the product only after accepting this weight discrepancy condition.

Direction to care

• Keep the soap in dry place after use.
• Use soap holders for extra care and protection
• We highly recommend using sisal soap bags for an extra protection of soap from external agents.
